Checking up the fall-winter trends!

Sporting the perfect fall/winter trend is always easy when you have the inspiration to build on. Checked pattern, the tartan (even the classic red one), Glen/Gingham/Window plaid, whatever you want to pick, they are all IN. The plaid / checked pattern is no novelty, even princess Diana was a big fan of it, ’89 Vogueย sported a great cover of a mixed plaid pattern and the Gingham was Jackie O’s favorite.ย ๐Ÿ
My favorite is the Glen Plaid; from black and white tones to grej with lines of dirty white and even orange or brown tones. Mix it with simple black items like Emily Ratajkowski during New York Fashion Week in September 2017 or with sophisticated bright-colored items like in the Off-White FW 17/18 runway show. Brands like Balenciaga, Alexander Wang, Charlotte Olympia, Off-White, Victoria Beckham, Prada, Calvin Klein, they’ve all got their private approach on this pattern theme. The plastic / PVC wrapped Calvin Klein coat is one of my favorite fall-winter 2017/2018 items – needless to say practical if you live in a rainy city during this season.
Wear checked pattern from day to night, from casual ensembles to really formal and classic ones like Jackie O’s outfits. ย Combine it with an Original Classic Adidas sneaker or a pair of high-heels, like the Charlotte Olympia ones with the fuchsia feathers; mix it with big knits or feathers and don’t be scared to even pull of a total checked plaid look.
